The 2017 Brentwood Art Trail is part of Essex’s ninth Summer of Art, which showcases artists from across the county from June to September.
The Brentwood Art Trail has been running since 2009 and is a great way to enjoy the artwork of the Borough’s many talented artists. Visitors can see a variety of work that will be displayed in participating shops and businesses throughout Brentwood.
How the Art Trail Works
Artists have applied to display up to 5 pieces of work in venues in and around the Borough. Shops and businesses/organisations with public access areas have generously agreed to be venues – in essence, become mini art galleries for 15 days!
The Brentwood Art Trail will be widely publicised through leaflets, posters, banners, social media and news outlets, giving artists promotion to a larger audience and bringing footfall to participating venues.
There is no fee to take part in the Brentwood Art Trail, either as an artist or venue.
The Essex Summer of Art
The Essex Summer of Art is combining with the Essex Network of Artists’ Studio’s programme ‘ENAS Events’ to create the largest visual arts festival in Essex, providing exciting opportunities to visit art trails, artist studios, workshops and showcase events. Be inspired and awaken your creative mind this summer. New this year are art trails in Hockley, Mersea Island and Rayleigh.
Last year over 72,000 visitors enjoyed the art and culture on offer, with over 46% of visitors exploring more than one art trail across the county, showing that culture really contributes to Essex’s economy.
